Classic British properties for the over 50s are all the rage….and what more classic, iconic, British property is there than Jackie?
Jackie was a weekly British magazine for girls. The magazine was published by D.C. Thomson & Co. Ltd of Dundee from 11 January 1964 until its closure on 3 July 1993 – a total of 1534 issues. For 10 years, Jackie was the best-selling teen magazine in Britain, with sales rising from an initial 350,000 to 605,947 in 1976.
Beano Studios, a division of D C Thomson, are now looking to agree a new publishing licence for the Jackie franchise.
